Rubbertec Gummiverwertungs GmbH produces rubber-modified bitumen granulate (GRM = Granulate Rubber Modified) for sustainable road construction. GRM consists of approx. 50% bitumen, 40% recycled rubber from used truck tires and 10% filler.
The GRM is wet produced at at least 200 °C over several hours and added dry to the asphalt mixing plant.
The GRM from Rubbertec Gummiverwertungs GmbH is used all over the world.
Significantly extended lifetime of asphalt layers — up to 60% longer (cf. with PmB)
Utilization of old tires and reduction of CO₂ emissions - up to 41% (cf. with PmB)
Stable for months without sacrificing quality.
Long-term cost savings - up to 31% (cf. with PmB).
Compatible with various asphalt mixtures + can be directly dosed and mixed.
Already used on over 20 million square meters.
Easily integrated — without modifications to your mixing plant
GRM is incorporated directly into the asphalt mix and generally requires no technical adjustments. It is suitable both for hot mixing processes and for temperature-reduced mixing technologies.
A circular product with an effect
With GRM, you make an active contribution to the circular economy. For every ton of GRM, around 12 old truck tires are sensibly recycled.
Long-term proven
& successfully deployed.
GRM has been used in numerous infrastructure projects in Europe for over 15 years. The results: lower maintenance costs, improved road stability and higher user satisfaction.
